What is a TVA Solution?

A TransparaGov Visual Analytics (TVA) solution is in essence the center of the monitoring, outcome, and oversight universe for the specific project, program, initiative or issue. It is a common event or status communication center; it displays status and conditions in real time, and presents data in graphical summary form, down to the most granular level through a series of simple mouse clicks. In other words, if the project is the patient, the TVA Solution is the Life-signs monitor.

TVA Solutions are viewed via a web browser as a collection of custom designed, program or project specific “dashboards” built from a set of beautiful data visualizations such as charts, graphs, gauges, meters, scorecards, lists, grids, maps etc. that display summary and detail information about the subject at hand in the most visually impactful and efficient way.

Through a definable set of parameters for any element of a dashboard, alerts may be triggered and sent via SMS, text messages, email, and by visual status indicators. These triggers are driven 24/7 by our Business Logic engine.

The data that is aggregated and presented on these dashboards extends well beyond the scope of ERP and Accounting data. A TVA solution may require anonymized medical information through HL7, financial transaction from systems that require protocol driven communications schema such as SWIFT. Our warehousing engine already includes connectors for over 4,000 such sources, and custom connectors can be developed to support any source of data, even non-electronic sources.

In simple terms, analytics is "the science of analysis." In practical terms, however, analytics is the process of reaching optimal or realistic decisions based on relevant data. Oceans of data on their own are useless. TransparaGov provides analytical intelligence tools in the form of visual Dashboards that get to the bottom of that ocean of data. These Dashboards deliver the results of this analysis in an understandable format where and when it is needed.
